Finding magic in the spaces of olfaction, emotion, scent and nature is what brought me to the alchemy of natural perfumery.

 

Creating a business of nature perfumery was inspired by the heady, narcotic feel of Indian attar perfume oils that I experienced while working in Mumbai as an osteopathic clinician. I wanted to create this for the Australian market where the intimacy of oil on skin and the aromatherapeutic qualities of these botanicals can transform the everyday into wonder and reverence.

Transparency and safety were my primary motivators for creating a range with no synthetics chemicals. With guidelines for their use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

​

By delving deeper in to the historical uses of resins and plants in perfumery for thousands of years, I unfurled an understanding that this relationship we have always had with plants borders on a transcendental experience.

 

Sap & Mystery continues this ancient ritual of connection to earth and spirit through scent.
